Powerful works of Latinx playwrights Carla Navarro and Xochitl Ramos come together in a night of play about the search for who we truly are. In Carla Navarro's "Cats Can't Eat Yarn", a Chilean immigrant wonders what has become of the revolutionary young woman she was before becoming a business owner and a mother. In Xochitl Ramos' "Three Poems and a Song for Santiago Parra", a young binational trans woman Mabel searches for self amidst the impending death of her father, while the family comes together trying to understand each other and themselves amidst their grief. 

Starring Anyelid Meneses, Xochitl Ramos, Arturo Medina, Denise Lopez, and Sam Orosco. Directed by Alicia Gonzalez. For two performances only, at El Centro Cultural de la Raza in Balboa Park, San Diego. 

Featuring art from the students of Monte Vista High School on the theme "Who am I?".
